Innovachange works with a client-centred approach to enabling change in individuals, organisations and society; cultivating leadership, diversity, innovation, talent and performance.
A core theme throughout the shaping change programmes and Innovachange Transformational Leadership model recognises the philosophy and values of the person-centred approach founded by Carl Rogers (1902-1987), the highly influential American Psychologist and a founder of humanistic psychology. His research and professional work is honored with awards including the American Psychological Association Award for Distinguished Scientific Contributions and Award for Distinguished Professional Contributions to Psychology.
Carl Rogers’ person-centred approach to change and understanding personality and human relationships is focused on demonstrating the conditions required for enabling a growth-promoting climate, open communication and the tendancy, creativity and empowerment of people to achieve their highest potential. His approach has been applied in individual and group settings across a diversity of fields including cross-cultural communications, personal growth, education (student-centred education) and counselling and psychotherapy (client-centred counseling).
The client-centred approach provides the conditions for a growth-promoting climate, a relationship that enables people to discover the capacity to use it for growth and change, a relationship that doesn’t position itself from a perspective of “how can I treat or cure, fix or change this person?”, instead from a place of “how can I provide a relationship which this person may use for their own individual growth?”.
The approach recognises that “individuals have within themselves vast resources for self-understanding and for altering their self-concepts, basic attitudes, and self-directed behaviour; these resources can be tapped if a definable climate of facilitative psychological attitudes can be provided”. (Carl R. Rogers, A Way of Being, 1980, p.115)
Any Relationship in which growth is the goal
The client-centred approach recognises the facilitative ingredients that must be present in order for a climate to be growth-promoting and can be applied to any relationship in which growth is the goal, whether that be of consultant and client, mentor and mentee, coach and coachee, leader and team, business partnership, humanitarian and community, teacher and student, therapist and client.
Client-Centred Approach
Shaping Change * Shaping the Future * Facing the Future *

Transformational leadership is a leadership style that innovates, catalyses and impacts change on an individual or collective scale, change that can redesign or expand perspectives, insights, opportunities, limitations, values and aspirations.
Transformational leaders include catalysts of change across a diversity of professions, cultivating change in themselves and others.
The Innovachange Transformational Leadership & Organisational Change model Roadmap for Change recognises the person-centred philosophy and values that, at the core, each individual and organisation has the innate ability for growth and innovation and can be facilitated through providing a growth-promoting climate.
Transformational leaders are growth-enhancers for individuals, organisations, communities and society, providing a growth-promoting climate for shaping change and growing into the future.
They enable a climate that can provide an important role in releasing and facilitating insight, open communication, valuing diversity and the tendancy, creativity and empowerment of individuals and groups towards transformative change, to perform and become their highest potential.
Transformational leaders are growth enhancers for society

Personality Profiling
Leveraging Uniqueness
The rhythm that guides your response and governs your decisions
Innovachange utilises a variety of psychometric assessments self-report personality questionnaires that are assessments of typical performance that aim to highlight personality characteristics, natural preferences or behaviour, as an aid to developmental insight.
The foundations underlying personality questionnaires are generally based on trait or type theories that identify independent characteristics of common behavior that all people display but to differing degrees or group traits together into personality types. Participants complete an online questionnaire and receive an individual report profiling their personality traits or type with facilitated feedback.
Myers Briggs Type Indicator
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI) is a personality assessment that enables people to establish a greater understanding of themselves, identify their natural preferences, motivations, strengths and unique gifts. It provides a platform for generating increased awareness of what enhances and stimulates their energy, productivity and relationship with others as well as response to stress, misunderstandings and communication difficulties.
The MBTI is based on Carl G. Jung's theory of psychological types and indicates differences in people that result from four pairs of opposites in personalities: opposite ways of using energy, perception, judgment and orienting to the outside world. It is based on the concept that everyone has a natural preference for one of each pair of opposites and together these four preferences create sixteen different personality types.
Each MBTI personality type is unique in two ways: it is made up of a particular combination of preferences and uses psychological energy in a specific way. The perspective of the theory is that by using this awareness and functioning from preferred characteristics, people generally perform to their best and feel most competent, natural and energetic.
Developed by Katharine Cook Briggs (1875-1968) and her daughter, Isabel Briggs Myers (1897-1980), the MBTI tool is widely used with leadership development, career development and exploration, team-building, organisational development, training in diversity and multi-cultural awareness, self-development and relationship-counselling.
The MBTI Profile report provides a basic profile of the individual’s MBTI personality type and the MBTI Interpretive Report for Organisations extends the personality type profile to an organisational context including work style, communication style and problem-solving approach.

California Personality Inventory
The California Psychological Inventory® (CPI 260) is an in-depth personality assessment measuring personal and professional characteristics, motivations and thinking styles, self-management and dealing with others along with preferences, attitudes and behaviours in key dimensions of management and leadership.
The CPI 260 Client Feedback Report profiles the individual’s lifestyle and level of satisfaction as an Implementer, Supporter, Innovator or Visualizer and measures their characteristics on twenty six scales organized in the following categories:

-
Dealing with others
-
Self-management
-
Motivations and thinking style
-
Personal characteristics
-
Work-related measures
The CPI 260 Coaching Report for Leaders provides results on eighteen leadership characteristics with a snapshot portrait containing an overview of strengths and areas for development on the leadership characteristics categorised into five core performance areas:

-
Self-management
-
Organizational capabilities
-

Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument
The Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode instrument (TKI) assesses individual’s behaviour in conflict situations against five conflict-handling modes that are devised from two key dimensions:
Assertiveness (the extent to which they attempt to satisfy their own concerns) and
Cooperativeness (the extent to which they attempt to satsify other peoples’ concerns).
The five conflict-handling modes measured are:

-
Competing
-
Collaborating
-
Compromising
-
Avoiding
-
Accommodating
The tool follows the concept that people are capable of using all five conflict-handling modes and that different approaches work better in different circumstances and with awareness of one’s ‘default’ response it can aid the process of choosing one’s preferred approach according to the context.
The TKI Profile and Interpretive Report provides feedback on the individual’s reported behaviours against the five different approaches to handling conflict and their most frequent conflict-handling approach. It provides information on the contextual use for each approach with the goal of aiding the individual to judge and choose how they use each of the five approaches.

Pearson-Marr Archetype Indicator
The Pearson-Marr Archetype Indicator® (PMAI) is based on Carl G. Jung's theory on psychological archetypes and measures the influence of twelve archetypal patterns in the individual’s life.
Jung considers archetypes to be the original blueprint of psychological structures presented in symbols and images contained in the collective unconscious and expressed in myths, art, literature and dreams. He considers myths to be a direct expression of the collective unconscious, the source of the collective creative and repressed essence of mankind, and a fundamental expression of human nature. His theory presents a perspective that understanding influential archetypes in one’s life can reveal one’s most important desires, motivations and goals, unrealized potential and the logic and importance of one’s life.
The PMAI tool follows the concept that the life story or myth is the tale people repeatedly tell themselves about who they are, what they desire, what they can and cannot do. With awareness of the influence of archetypal patterns individuals can consciously choose which archetypal attributes to use and develop in a personal and professional context. The tool measures the influence of twelve archetypes considered to be common characters present in life stories:

-
Innocent, Orphan, Caregiver, Warrior - which help you, others, and the species to survive.
-
Seeker, Lover, Destroyer, Creator - which help you and others find yourselves and express your gifts.
-
Ruler, Magician, Sage and Jester - which help you and others live authentically, making a positive contribution to the world whilst also experiencing personal fulfillment.
The PMAI Report provides feedback contained in archetypal descriptions and graphically ranks the individual’s scores against the twelve archetypes. It provides descriptions of the three archetypes with the highest results likely to currently have the most active influence in the individual’s life and a description of the archetype with the lowest score considered to be the ‘shadow’ archetype likely to be the least expressed.
